The results
Website page load time for shoppers were reduced by 3.8x times, a 31% increase in conversion was recorded and page views per visit jumped 20%.
"Our aim was to ensure customers can quickly find the products they want and purchase with ease. Working with Isobar, we agreed that moving to a PWA solution would be fundamental to this journey."

The challenge
A Better Mobile Experience
More people are shopping on mobile, but their attention on the platform is becoming increasingly hard to grab and even harder to maintain through to purchase.
Placing a focus on site speed is therefore important for all businesses looking to ‘win’ in today’s mobile-first fashion market.
Assessing the feedback from its customers Asda George realised the need not only to improve mobile site speed but also enhance the experience for its customers.
The solution
PWA Implementation
Asda George sensed an opportunity to provide it's customers with a more gratifying mobile experience, through the launch of a Progressive Web App.
Progressive Web App's eliminate friction by using the web to deliver app-level experiences. There's no need for consumers to find apps in the App Store and install them — they can just navigate to the site on any browser, including Chrome and Safari.
By implementing site wide HTTPS, Asda George now offers a more secure end-to-end shopping experience for customers, enabling modern browser capabilities, like Service Worker, and therefore allowing consumers to stay in touch with the brand whilst offline.
